SAINT-PREX VILLA

The Brief: A Contemporary Villa With a Bold, Architectural Character

Set in Saint-Prex, near Lausanne, the project centers on a striking architectural vision: a contemporary villa that embraces the rawness of brutalism without compromising the warmth and comfort of a home. The idea was to use dark tones, raw natural materials, and contrasting textures to give the interior a distinctive identity, with accent elements such as natural stone, metal, and dark wood. An unconventional layout further reinforces the home’s distinctive character, with the main open-plan living space positioned on the top floor.

Villa Interior Design in Saint-Prex: Dark Wood, Natural Stone and a Metal Fireplace

We developed an interior concept that combines dark wood, natural stone, and metal elements to create a bold and cohesive aesthetic. The central feature is a floor-to-ceiling metal fireplace: a strong visual statement in the living space and a natural gathering point for the whole family.

The open-plan layout on the top floor integrates comfortable areas for both relaxation and work, including a cozy home office in the common space. The contrasting materials reinforce the villa’s strong architectural character.

What to Expect: A Villa That Balances Bold Design and Family Comfort

The villa is designed to be a contemporary home with a distinctive, robust character, where raw materials, dark tones, and strong architectural elements create a cohesive interior that balances bold design with the comfort of family living.

This project reflects our approach to residential interior design for private villas, where strong materials, bold architectural elements, and everyday comfort are brought together within a cohesive living space. Learn more about our interior design in Lausanne services.
