STATUS: PROJECT

La Casa del Habano is a commercial store selling premium cigars, located within the Montreux Palace hotel. The clients approached us with the goal of creating a striking luxury boutique that would catch attention from the street while reflecting the prestige of the hotel. A key aspect of the project was the inclusion of a separate lounge zone at the back, where guests can relax, enjoy cigars, and have drinks. The primary clientele includes hotel guests as well as regular customers with their own private lockers.

The reception area, a key element of the design, is crafted from natural stone, symbolizing durability and high quality. This sculptural centerpiece transforms the reception desk into a striking focal point, setting the tone for the store’s premium character. Beyond the reception, thoughtfully designed shelves with customizable lighting showcase products in an engaging way. Adjustable lightboxes allow precise control of brightness and contrast, emphasizing key products and promotions. Softer lighting creates a cozy atmosphere during the day, while brighter illumination highlights products during evening hours or special events.

The lounge zone is conceived as an integral part of the spatial narrative, offering a transition from retail to a more private environment. The layout emphasizes spatial rhythm and proportion, while the choice of tactile materials — natural wood, textured upholstery, and subdued lighting — supports a sense of composure and continuity. The area is designed not only for comfort, but as an extension of the brand’s identity, where product experience and spatial atmosphere align.

This considered attention to materials, textures, and lighting ensures that every detail of La Casa del Habano conveys the essence of premium elegance, creating a welcoming space where tradition meets modernity, and where design subtly highlights the boutique’s luxurious character.
