CHALET COMPLEX GSTAAD

The interior of a chalet complex in Gstaad is a play of four fundamentally different materials, each of which clearly performs its assigned functional role. The deep black color of the ceiling complements the geometry of the space, visually increasing its height. Local Vals stone, strong and reliable, is used for surfaces exposed to high humidity, temperature, or heavy use. Elements requiring a warm tactile sensation are made from walnut. Exquisite brass emphasizes the sophistication of certain elements and small details.
The materials do not mix with each other; each monopolizes entire elements of the interior and covers large surfaces. All parts of the space are linear, geometric, and tend toward archetypal forms. This aspiration is further emphasized by the painting "Malevich" by Kyiv artist Victoria Vladimirska, where the face of the author of the Black Square is reinterpreted with clear geometric features.
